OFFICIAL CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL LEAGUE RULES
MAJOR LEAGUE RULES (11 & 12 YEAR OLDS)
- Every active player on the roster must bat.
- All player must play at least two defensive innings
- Maximum bat barrels dimensions are 2 1/4"
- Score will count, after last complete inning played.
- No leading off
- No stealing until ball crosses the plate
Local rules
- All regular season games, maximum 1 1/2 hours time limit.
- All play-off games, maximum 2 hours time limit.
- No new inning will start after time limit has been reached
- No time limit on championship final game
- No advancing on any base, after overthrow to first base.
- All base runners must earn way home from third base.
MINOR LEAGUE LOCAL RULES(9 & 10 YEAR OLDS)
- All games to be played six on six without outfielders
- All regular season games, maximum 1 1/2 hours time limit
- All play-off games, maximum 2 hours time limit
- No new inning will start after time limit has been reached
- No time limit on championship final game
- No advancing on any base, after overthrow to first base
- All base runners must earn way home from third base
- No leading off
- No stealing until ball crosses plate
- Outfield fence is in play. Ball may be played.
- Any batted ball clearing fence is considered Home Run
